Dream Big Journal Page – by Sarah

Hello it’s Sarah here again today with my second project using the Marrakesh kit.
I love how vibrant the colours are in the kit and decided to give the background an ombré wash of yellow to brighten the grid paper. I used clear gesso under the watercolour to preserve the line from the grid but add more strength to the thin paper.

For the page flip I added some stencil butter in turquoise and marigold over some watercolour paper with random splashes of colour. They have a lovely shimmer and add some texture to the paper and double as paint when watered down.

On the opposite page I added layers of paper from the kit behind my main photo on the spread. The packaging tissue paper matched in perfectly as well so I stapled some between the photo and paper layers.

Under the main photo I added one of the circle label stickers, colouring it with pencils to add a pop of colour and match it in with the rest of the page. I framed the photo with stickers from the kit to draw the eye in.

The cut apart words fitted perfectly to subtitle the 2nd journaling card and to the tab of the flip page.

Finally I added more of the words under the flip page along with some handwritten journalling and some splashes of paint to finish the page.
I hope you are enjoying using this months kit as much as I am.
Thanks for stopping by!
